Out-Door Rock Climbing

Rock climbing is a sport in which participants climb up, down or across natural rock formations or artificial rock walls. The goal is to reach the summit of a formation or the endpoint of a pre-defined route without falling. Rock climbing competitions have objectives of completing the route in the quickest possible time or the farthest along an ever increasingly harder route.

Rock climbing is a physically and mentally demanding sport, one that often tests a climber's strength, endurance, agility and balance along with mental control. It can be a dangerous sport and knowledge of proper climbing techniques and usage of specialized climbing equipment is crucial for the safe completion of routes.

Rock Climbing in Singapore Singapore has some great rock climbing at old Bukit Timah Quarries, near-vertical cliff at dairy farm quarry at bukit timah hill .There are almost 50 routes to challenge a climber from easy 5.7′s to difficult 5.12 b routes.  Rock climbing is fairly new to Singapore, but it is catching on quickly.

One great spot for climing natural rock cliff is Labrador park, need to bring own equipement, no rock climbing operaters, the venue if free of charge,  however beginners should get familiarized with safety and climbing techniques on arfifical walls before attempting natural rock walls.
